Many people asked for change. Some wanted to kick them off completely but
most thought making R do it under his own name was an appropriate minimum.
How much trouble can this be for him?
It's not about teaching them. He may think he is teaching us. Both ideas
are "old man." It is simply about doing what most of the regular listees
want, if it's something the others can live with. Kicking them out, even
if
desired by a majority, was not wanted by a substantial minority, so the
"tyranny of the majority" is avoided in that instance.
