And now for some clarification.

We have had our first bout of nobyism!

I have put Sac on moderation, not banned, a distinction lost on noby but which means he can still read and post but he will have to wait for posts to be approved. Chances of course are now considerably less that his posts will be approved than if he were an ordinary new member.

Most members are not on moderation and can post freely. The list is set so that new members are automatically on moderation so that unwelcome types cannot simply sub under another name and start again.

For practical purposes, noby and his advocates are considered unwelcome types here. As far as i am concerned, the endless discussion about him was one of the toxic elements that pervaded the old list.

So starting over here, i want to just keep that whole syndrome out. I will put anyone else who wants to advocate on noby's behalf or pass on his messages on moderation too. And for this purpose i will usually consider "free-speech" discussions as thinly-disguised noby advocacy.

FWIW, i have learned that noby tried also to post via Sac to new-sannyas-list but as Sac was already on moderation since he joined there, that was prevented. Surendra and his crew are to be congratulated on their far-sightedness. I seem to have been more naive.

Love, Sarlo
