Critical Mass

For some reason, most of the demos, parades, and mass
events that take place in SF start, end, or pass by my shop.

Friday, Critical Mass swung by. Note the disgruntled
motorists forced to sit helplessly by the side of the road.

Dyke March

Saturday was the annual Dyke March which precedes the
Pride Parade on Sunday. It always starts right outside
my place led by the infamous Dykes On Bikes.

It was so loud and raucous outside that I retreated to
the back of the store and put on some headphones. By
the time I went out most of the march had passed.

Note the giant pink triangle draped over Twin Peaks in
the background.

Just In Time

I got there just in time to catch the last couple of
lesbian bikers roaring by.

The Rear

Sometimes I feel like I am walking through a bizarre
scene from one of those Goya paintings of frenzied
revelers.

I was up all night as drunk people partied loudly
outside so I slept in Sunday and didn't make it to the
bridge. Maybe next week.

Here the police bring up the rear of the parade.

Love,
Jivano
