Dear Noby and Friends,

Some Facets of modern Chennai:

In chennai, the East Coast Road which goes up to Pondicherry

is one of the best high way in the  city.Up to Mamallapuram

it is also called New Mamallapuram Road.

Old Mamallapuram Road has been termed as Information Technology Highway because  all the major software companies in India have their Chennai  branches on this road.

East Coast Road can be better termed as Road of Coastal Entertainment.

It has been widely occupied by beach resorts, Restaurants, Star Hotels , Entertainment centers for kids,Adults like VGP Golden Kingdom,

MaayaJaal(A digital entertainment center ),

MGM dizzee world

( Disney world of Chennai),

Little Folks and Crocodile Bank

There are two beautiful temples, Shridi saibaba Temple

and Poori Jagannathar Temple along this Road.

Dakshin Chitra is a service project of Madras Craft Foundation

for the promotion and preservation of the cultures of the diverse

people of India with emphasis on TamilNadu,Kerala,

Andhra Pradesh

and Karnataka.

Muttukkadu is a small village which has wide area of back water  of sea and it has regular boat services.

Mamallapuram is the capital of Pallava Kingdom as per history.  It has sea shore temple.Mainly it is famous for the monolithic  sculptures made during the Pallava king's rule.

All temples are carved out of single stone only either the Elephant, or temple like sculptures called Pancha Pandavar Rathas(five Panadavas  in epic Mahabharatha). Even now major sculpture work is going  on in Mamallapuram.

Hope you ALL enjoy my Presentation.

Love,
 Jeeva
