Hi everyone Around 12 or 14 years ago, I created a mailing list to bring sannyasins together around the world, a place where people isolated in their own communities could reach out and connect with other people using the new (at that time) tool of the internet. As someone involved in developing the internet from about 1985 it just seemed a natural thing to do. In those early years it cost me a fair bit of money, time and favors to keep it alive - since it had to run on its own machine attached to the internet somewhere. |

| Since that time the
list has grown and changed and morphed into something completely different.
It no longer seems to me to be a place for osho's lovers to connect with
each other, instead its become a place where people are mostly mean to each
other, and try and find more creative ways to insult each other. I don't see
it as a place of love any more, and over the last few years has come to
reflect less and less my understanding of Osho's message, to the extent
where I no longer feel welcome there myself. I could give countless examples of the kind of behavior I mean, but I see no reason to get into another personal slanging match. The list needs to do one of two things. 1: Change back to a place where people care about each other, and treat each with respect and love. 2: Find a new owner (there has to be one, for Yahoo's purposes). I don't really care which. Please email either the group, or me privately with your own opinion, or vote in the Poll I created |

if the choice is #1, then
it might mean bouncing a few people who can't live without being nasty to
people. If the choice is #2, i.e. have a new owner, then the group needs to use its "consensus" process to choose a new owner (and if required new moderators). It can also choose a new name and I'll do the necessary to make the transfer. If there is no consensus on an owner then its probably time to delete the group. With love and frustration - Mitra |
